Checking your ratio:
You will see your ratio in the top right corner next to your name or next to your name in any post you make - it will update every hour.

Torrent Downloaders:
Leave your windows/clients running after you complete a download. Leave them running overnight & you should increase your ratio dramatically. Make sure your client says your uploading. Note: If your UL speed is very slow, it could be b/c people who are DL'ing are on slow connections.

Torrent Seeders:
In order to get proper "credit" for seeding a torrent, you need to DL the torrent file that has been posted at the board. This means that if you are the original seeder, you should post the torrent file, then save that posted torrent file to your computer & seed that file.

When you DL the torrent file, the board gives you an ID that associates your UL & DL amounts to that torrent & back to your user name. Otherwise, the board will not know who you are & you will not get credit.

Viddy, one of the mods linked me to this thread because of problems I'm having getting ANY credit for the many gigs I've uploaded here. I've done everything you suggest, and still have no credit. I'm seeding one DVD right now and have upped almost 13 gigs of that alone, but my user profile shows me as having upped only about 350mg total, in all the time I've been a member here. So obviously the share ratio that shows for me is atrocious, and I hate for people to see me and think that I'm just a big leecher that way. Anyway, anything you mods can do to fix my problem will be appreciated. Thanks, atlfrank

We might be able to add credit to your account -0 checking into this.

In the meantime, can you make sure you've done the followin,g & see if you get credit for the seeding.

1 - Make torrent file
2 - Attach to PLG.com thread
3 - Post the thread
4 - Download the file attached to the thread
5 - Seed that file (key to seed/upload the file that came from the board, not the original one you created) the seed from the bd has a diff registrtion key that gives you the uploading credit.

So that's why my ratio didn't increase when i seeded a gig!! Is there anything i can do to get credit for it? My ratio is a shame!!!

I doubt they're going to help you when you have a 0.4 ratio, even if it should be 0.5.

I'm uploading a 4.3g dvd but my upload ratio isn't changing
