At long last, my promised Faun Fables tape from this past April. I haven't made the time to get all the song titles right, but have about half of 'em:
The mp3 excerpt is at 192kbps from 44.1khz 16-bit stereo. Faun Fables Radio Radio 2005-April-28 Indianapolis, IN 1 Intro 2 All For the Love of Thee 3 Begin 4 Dancing Days (?) 5 ? 6 Lucy Belle 7 Mother and the Piano 8 Birthday 9 New song 10 ? 11 (Skit) 12 Mouse Song 13 Picture Song 14 ? 15 Single Girl 16 ? 17 ? 18 (goofing off) 19 Eternal Recording info: Core Sound Cardioids -> Sony D8 -> S/PDIF -> CoolEditPro (slight compression) -> CDWave (tracking) -> FLAC Faun Fables are: Nils Frykdahl – guitar, flute, voice, assorted sounds Dawn McCarthy – guitar, voice, assorted percussion, cups, pictures Plus two unnamed audience members in the skit This is not an official Faun Fables release, and is NOT FOR SALE in any form. Please DO NOT encode to MP3. I'll be at the Sleepytime Gorilla Museum show in Nashville, TN, in a few days. Look for the skinny, geeky guy hanging around with the big scary m-f- in a straw hat. Come say hi after the show. |

And, like an idiot, I forgot to include the MD5 in the attachments. Here it is, if this is actually how to add another file attachment to a thread here (first time I've uploaded a torrent on this site - bear with me if I'm an idiot :confused : |

Hey, thanks for uploading this show. The seed's moving kind of slow, but I'm patient!
I have two other shows from the last tour - if you're interested I can upload them. Can't believe nobody else has hopped on this! |

Yeah, I know my speed isn't what it should be right now - I'm seeding a couple other things on another tracker now, but they're nearly done, so I should be speeding up soon - later this evening or so,... I'd LOVE any other Faun Fables - complete shows, especially, and ++especially any shows with "Still Here," "Carousel With Madonnas" and/or their cover of Richard and Linda Thompson's "The Great Valerio" in 'em. Thanks in advance! You won't regret downloading this one - it's the whole show, and I think the recording's pretty good - B+/A- or so - leastwise, it sounds to my ears exactly like the show did in person. Play it loud, though, 'cos the skit and some of the in-between-song bits are pretty quiet; I didn't dare apply any more compression for fear of bad pumping effects. And, that bit where the music glitches during, I think, the Picture Song - that's what happened at the show. The backing audio was being played from a CD-R at the mixing desk, and it stuck, hence Dawn's quick-witted "this could go on forever" comment. |

Thanks for this! If anyone can open up a seed, that'd be awesome. So far there's only one seeder.

Hi, I can seed but only in the evenings.
Here are some updates / changes to the set list: 4 Old and Light 5 Train 14 Eyes of a Bird 16 Girl That Said Goodbye 17 Hollow Hills (Bauhaus cover! bizarre!) Bad news about my two Faun Fables shows. I archive shows to DVD and the ones I had the Faun Fables on were left in a hot car - now my DVD drive can't read them. Never had that happen to me before. I'm going to keep trying to read the discs. I'm going to be pissed if I lost them! |
